Get to Know Julia

Julia Marvin’s passion for politics began during her time at the University of Colorado Boulder, where she earned a degree in news broadcast and a degree in political science, and spent significant time interning at the state capitol as a legislative aide and in the communications office.

Since then, she has built a career in marketing and public relations, working in government, healthcare, technology, and startups.

A Colorado native with strong family roots in Thornton dating back to the 1960s, Julia lives with her husband Alex and two cats, Vegas and Lady Blackjack. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, theater, reading, and spending time with friends and family.

Julia strongly believes in being active in local politics and the power in grassroots movements. If elected, she will work to make politics and local government more accessible to everyone through increased communications, transparency and engagement.
