My name is Julia Marvin, and I’m proud to represent south Thornton at the state legislature. For the past four years, I had the honor of representing Ward 2 on the Thornton City Council. Last year, I ran for Mayor because I wanted to do even more for our amazing city. Although it was one of the closest mayoral elections in the city’s history, I fell short by a few votes. But I didn't let that stop me. In fact, it opened up an incredible opportunity for me to serve you in a different capacity.
Now, I'm thrilled to be filling the shoes of Representative Said Sharbini, who had to step down from the seat. It's truly an honor to be chosen to represent Thornton and to work alongside other State Representatives to make our city even better.
But here's the thing: I can't do this alone. I need your support. I need your vote to get on the ballot and, once there, your vote to help me finish the job I started.
In just one month in office, I've already hit the ground running, drafting bills that directly address the concerns I heard from you during my mayoral campaign. These bills cover crucial issues like clean air, prenatal health, campaign finance reform, and more.
But my work doesn't stop there. I'm committed to finding solutions to our city's challenges, whether it's affordable housing, transportation, or ensuring that all voices are heard and represented.
Thornton is my home, and I'm deeply invested in its future. I promise to listen to you, to be present, and to fight for what matters most to our community.
So, let's do this together! Your voice matters. Your vote matters. Let's build a brighter future for Thornton. Vote for Julia Marvin, your HD 31 State Representative!
